Summary

The Senior Process Engineer will demonstrate deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, data analysis, problem solving, and project management to drive machine and process improvements. This role will focus on improving product performance, increasing manufacturing efficiency, and optimizing production yield.

Responsibilities

  • Manage yield performance by improving productivity and reducing production loss
  • Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine and process issues related to non-conforming products or equipment performance
  • Lead product testing for new models and specifications and analyze results to support process improvements
  • Perform internal and customer audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Develop and maintain standard documentation including SOPs, PFDs, Control Plans, and PFMEAs
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Investigate quality issues and perform root cause analysis on failure modes
  • Maintain workplace organization following 5S and 3R standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, or engineering in highly automated or automotive environments
  • Experience with automated and robotic manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with large-scale production lines, PFMEA, and process control methodologies
  • Experience with time studies, line balancing, lean manufacturing, and bottleneck analysis

  • Strong technical aptitude with continuous improvement focus
  • Knowledge of battery production processes (preferred)
  • Understanding of equipment operation, technical documentation, and industrial systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minitab proficiency preferred
